is there a way to identify each of those potentially "rogue" Mac addresses, and remove any that I do not, or can not reconcile with the known and allowed devices that I entered into that list? and I do not want to cause a huge "one-off" discussion of the pro's and con's of that - however, what I saw there were about 10 MAC addresses that I do not recognize ever entering. but it does provide an additional hindrance to "would-be" evil-doers, and that is the single reason for using it.
I already know that this is not an undefeatable scheme. I originally set that tab up (MAC address filtering) to allow only devices that have their MAC addresses registered in that tab to have access to the network. In so doing, I took a look at the MAC address filtering portion just to "take a peek" and make sure that all my devices were the way that I left them. I had occasion to log into Smart WiFi today to check on something I was trying to do. It has a software app called Smart WiFi that allows the management of the device.
I have a small home network and use a Linksys 6350 router.
